Slow and Steady is a hand carved Amazonite Turtle with hand carved Leaves of Agates, with Jaspers in the Necklace and Sterling Silver Toggle with Matching Earrings.  It is approximately 28" long and the turtle is 11/2".  This piece has just been repurposed and moves with grace, unlike the turtle.

AMAZONITE:   Amazonite is said to promote confidence, vitality and restorative sleep if placed under a pillow. Ancient Egyptians considered it a holy stone; also used to stimulate powers of clairvoyance and fortune-telling.

AGATE: Agates are multi-banded colorful stones that occur in volcanic lava. Found in an amazing variety of patterns, it’s believed to be a powerful healing stone and fortifier. Agate symbolizes the third eye. In antiquity, it was worn as an amulet and believed to be the stone of prosperity.

JASPER: This chalcedony occurs in many shades of brown, red and green and has always been said to have magic powers. Jasper symbolizes willpower.  Brown encourages stability and healing.
